Russia Launches AI Experiment in Public Administration

Neural networks will now assist Russian officials in processing documents, reviewing resumes, and replying to citizen inquiries.

Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development has proposed integrating neural networks into public administration. The AI tools will be used for document analysis, citizen correspondence, and screening applicants for government jobs. They will also help draft tests, interpret legislation, and generate content for official websites while adhering to corporate communication standards.

The systems will not be used for forecasting socioeconomic trends or processing classified information. Only authorized government employees will be able to access the AI tools via Russia’s Unified Identification and Authentication System.

Officials expect the pilot to boost efficiency by automating routine tasks. Earlier, the Ministry of Digital Development reported that roughly 500 experimental AI systems had already been deployed across Russia’s regions.
