Russia Plans State‑of‑the‑Art Cyber School in Donetsk

Russia is set to open a cutting‑edge cyber school in Donetsk where students will learn robotics, medicine, engineering, and data analysis through advanced labs and digital platforms.
Russia’s FederalPress has confirmed that an architectural project for a new cyber school in Donetsk has been approved, marking the first step toward a modern educational facility focused on cyber‑ and STEM‑related disciplines. Inside the school’s walls, students will delve into robotics, medicine, engineering, and data analysis, all supported by specialized laboratories and a comprehensive digital learning environment.
A key feature of the school will be its proprietary hardware‑software complex designed to automate the management of engineering systems and campus equipment. According to the project documentation, this innovative system will streamline everything from lab controls to facility maintenance, ensuring that both educators and learners can focus on hands‑on experimentation and research.
All preparatory work is now complete, including geodetic and engineering surveys, the development of the architectural and functional design, and the site-specific integration of the plans. Construction is slated to begin imminently, with the facility expected to welcome its first students within the next few years.
Meanwhile, Russia is rolling out a new AI and cybersecurity curriculum nationwide to boost digital literacy. Starting September 1, 2025, students in grades 5–9 will be able to enroll in extracurricular courses on working with artificial intelligence. Interactive textbooks featuring both theoretical lessons and practical exercises, alongside modern digital services, are being developed to make the classes engaging and accessible.
