TransTeleCom has developed a system that enables remote control of overhead and gantry cranes. Operators can do their jobs from an office, at a safe distance from potentially hazardous areas.

The solution supports several connectivity options, including fiber-optic cable, radio, mobile communications and industrial Wi-Fi. Channel redundancy provides a continuous and stable signal.

Importantly, operators can control several cranes from a single location. The crane operator’s workstation provides a full 360-degree video view using machine vision technology and AI assistants, while the crane itself is equipped with a range of safety features.

“Remote crane control is one of our new solutions in the industrial automation services portfolio, which already includes VR/AR simulators for occupational safety training, video surveillance with neural-network video analytics to prevent workplace injuries, and other digital products. We see how industry is changing and are offering a tool that creates more comfortable and safer working conditions, improves operational efficiency and advances technological maturity,” said Grigory Reshetnikov, head of the Integrated Security Systems Department at TransTeleCom.
