Delivery Robots to Hit the Streets of Samara by the End of 2026
The project is expected to begin with a fleet of up to 80 rovers.

The first delivery robots are expected to take to the streets of Samara by the end of this year. The project has become possible following the establishment of an experimental legal regime for digital and technological innovation in the region. Samara Region has also been included among the Russian regions where transport and logistics services using rovers will be tested.
The project is being implemented by Robodostavka LLC, a subsidiary of Yandex. Around 80 delivery robots are expected to operate in the city during the initial phase. Before they can begin deliveries, however, robotic mapping units will need to survey the streets and create the digital maps required for their operation. Eight locations in Samara are currently under consideration for the project. Together, they cover approximately 31 square kilometers.
