Sergei Erokhin: MTUCI’s International Agreements Aim to Train Specialists and Advance AI Technologies

The 2nd Global Digital Forum is taking place in Moscow from October 8 to 10, bringing together delegates from more than 100 countries, including IT developers, scientists and entrepreneurs.

The forum features discussions, plenary sessions and one-on-one meetings, giving participants an opportunity to exchange experience in building sovereign digital infrastructure and forge new project partnerships.

Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics (MTUCI) is taking part in the forum to expand international cooperation in IT education and research. Sergei Erokhin, Rector of MTUCI, spoke to a correspondent for the IT Russia media platform about the significance of the agreements signed and the university’s main areas of cooperation with international partners.

– These agreements are very important for expanding the university’s international cooperation and form part of a broader effort to export Russian IT education. We see strong interest from international partners in working with Russian educational and research institutions, as well as in modern Russian IT technologies. The main priorities are training specialists in information security and telecommunications. Cooperation will also cover the development of artificial intelligence and other areas of IT.

Education is a lengthy and complex process. We have only just signed the agreements, and we now aim to work out the technical details with our partners before the New Year. We hope to see the first results of our cooperation next year.
