Russian Aluminum Mining Management System Wins Major IT Award
Russia’s mining industry is adopting digital tools to optimize production data. A platform called ZIIoT, developed by the Cifra Group, has now been honored with the prestigious IT Elements Awards.
The ZIIoT system provides a full cycle of data collection and processing, delivering real-time access to technological information. It allows operators to analyze and forecast processes across complex mining operations. With the platform, all stages of production become transparent and manageable.
ZIIoT has already proven itself as an effective MES system, operating at seven aluminum plants owned by the company. Plans are underway to roll it out to four more facilities.
The domestic innovation has earned high recognition. Thanks to its successful implementation, Cifra Group won the IT Elements Awards in the “Digital Impulse” category. The jury emphasized that the project is transforming the landscape of large-scale industrial operations. The solution can also be adopted by other companies. One of the first to follow suit is RUSAL, a major player in the metallurgical mining sector, which has decided to implement the system.
