AI Assistant on Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland for School Students Developed in Chechnya
Researchers at Chechen State Pedagogical University have developed an intelligent assistant that helps school students and teachers find verified answers on the Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland (OBZR) subject.
The assistant is designed for students in grades 10–11 and for teachers of the Fundamentals of Security and Defense of the Motherland. It runs on RAG technology, which combines knowledge base search with generating an answer based on the retrieved data. Only verified sources were uploaded into the system — textbooks, regulations, and official manuals from the Russian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The assistant answers questions based on retrieved fragments with a link to the source.
It does not return hundreds of links like a conventional search. Instead, it takes query history into account and suggests related topics — for example, after first aid rules, a user can move on to the basics of tactical medicine. The tool is currently undergoing testing.
