K2 Cloud Launches DDoS Protection Service for Cloud Infrastructure
The new platform filters malicious traffic at the network level before it reaches customer systems, aiming to keep websites online during large-scale attacks.

K2 Cloud, part of the K2Tech ecosystem, has introduced a DDoS protection service for cloud infrastructure operating at the L3–L4 network layers. The platform filters traffic before it reaches a client’s digital perimeter, helping maintain the availability of websites and web applications even during high-volume attacks.
Reliable Traffic Filtering
The service runs within the K2 Cloud environment based on the Servicepipe platform. Protection is activated by assigning secured Elastic IP addresses through the cloud’s web interface.
To enable filtering, customers replace the IP address on a virtual machine or load balancer and, if necessary, update DNS records. There is no need to reconfigure routing, establish dedicated communication channels, or deploy additional hardware. Protected IP addresses can be used alongside standard ones if only part of a company’s services requires shielding.
Built to Withstand Mass Attacks
The solution is designed to repel large-scale and so-called “carpet” attacks at the network level. Malicious traffic is scrubbed before it reaches the client’s infrastructure.
The platform blocks more than 99 percent of network attacks and responds to threats in under 1 millisecond. Service availability, under the service-level agreement, reaches 99.9 percent. Traffic filtering operates continuously and is not limited by attack volume.
Rapid Activation
Anzhelika Zakharova, head of 1C and cybersecurity practices at K2 Cloud, said speed is critical during an attack.
The new tool expands K2 Cloud’s portfolio of security services and gives companies the ability to protect web resources without modifying their infrastructure.
