UrFU Selects Best Student Project for the Nuclear Industry
The Ural Federal University (UrFU) has concluded the international Summer University project, which included the HackAtom hackathon with students from 15 countries.

Over two weeks, 430 students from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan and other countries studied modern technologies and worked on interdisciplinary projects. A key part of the program was the HackAtom track, organized by the ObninskTech center. The teams developed 40 projects dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russia's nuclear industry.
The winner of the Russian-language track was AtomX, which developed an emergency tracker bracelet for employees at nuclear power plants. The device makes it possible to determine workers' locations and, in the event of an emergency, automatically transmits their coordinates to a dispatcher. The Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant in Türkiye was selected as the pilot site.
