The Moscow Region’s Ministry for Territorial Maintenance and State Housing Oversight plans to install 900 mobile cameras at container sites across the region. The data collected will be transmitted via specialized software to relevant agencies, helping officials more easily detect overflowing containers and enforce rules against illegal waste disposal.

Officials note that mobile monitoring cameras have been in use since last year, when 200 devices were deployed. They were placed in areas with the highest number of violations. Around 100 cameras have already been installed as part of the new rollout, with deployment ongoing. The full system is expected to be in place by the end of spring.

The largest number of cameras will be installed in the following municipalities: Podolsk – 151, Ramenskiy – 86, Voskresensk – 66, Krasnogorsk – 61, Leninskiy – 57.
