Families Can Apply for Family Tax Benefit Through Sber’s App
Sber has launched a pilot service that allows families with two or more children to apply for the family tax benefit through SberBank Online.
Sber is the first Russian bank to offer this option. The service is available in the Android app and the web version, but is not yet available on iOS.
Families, including those with adopted children, can receive a refund of part of the personal income tax paid in 2025 if their average per-capita income does not exceed 1.5 times the regional subsistence minimum.
The service allows users to check their eligibility, fill out an application, sign in through Gosuslugi (Public Services) and, if necessary, consent to the transfer of their data. In the Android version, the service can be found through search; in the web version, users should go to “All Services” and then “Gosuslugi.” Applications are accepted through September 30, inclusive.
The pilot will allow Sber to test the bank’s interaction with government information systems and prepare the service for wider deployment.
