National Tourism Portal Is to Help Drivers Navigate Russia
The Puteshestvuem.rf platform now offers 125 curated driving routes spanning 67 regions.

Four new road trip itineraries have been added to the national tourism portal Puteshestvuem.rf (Puteshestvuem.rf), bringing the total number of ready-made travel routes to 125 across 67 regions of Russia.
The new routes cover the Nizhny Novgorod and Sverdlovsk regions, the Volga area, and the Jewish Autonomous Region. They include “Avtomarshrut po Evreyskoy Avtonomnoy Oblasti” (Road Trip Through the Jewish Autonomous Region), “Dorogami Knyazey i Masterov Nizhegorodskogo Kraya” (Along the Roads of Princes and Craftsmen of the Nizhny Novgorod Region), “Ot Nizhegorodskikh Svyatyn do Saratovskikh Shirot” (From Nizhny Novgorod Shrines to Saratov’s Expanses), and “Severnyy Ural: Puteshestvie Skvoz Veka i Vershiny” (Northern Urals: A Journey Through Centuries and Peaks).
Road Tourism Goes Mainstream
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said President Vladimir Putin has noted that road tourism is becoming an increasingly popular form of travel.
A Strategic Priority
Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov emphasized that, amid restrictions on air travel, road tourism is becoming a strategic direction for the industry.
The total length of verified routes exceeds 43,000 kilometers. They connect more than 1,500 tourist sites, including museums, churches, nature reserves, and industrial facilities. To support travelers, more than 1,000 roadside service facilities and around 370 multifunctional service zones operate along the routes.
