New GOST Standard for Heating Systems Comes Into Force in Russia
The updated regulation is designed to expand automation across the housing and utilities sector.

A revised GOST standard governing heating systems in apartment buildings has come into force in Russia, with a strong focus on digitalization. The document stipulates the installation of control units with remote management capabilities, enabling users to monitor and adjust temperature via mobile apps and online interfaces.
The standard also sets stricter requirements for manufacturers of smart heating systems. These products must carry a warranty of at least three years from the date of production.
Safety is another key element of the update: equipment must support the installation of water leak sensors capable of automatically shutting off supply in emergency situations.
In practice, the new GOST is intended to give residents greater control over indoor temperature settings in their homes, while ensuring that all systems meet high standards of reliability and durability.
