Russia’s IT Powerhouses Are Going Global

Russian tech companies are expanding their global presence, offering agile, scalable digital tools that meet the needs of businesses worldwide—even under geopolitical pressure.
As the global IT sector surges, Russian developers are stepping up with innovative digital solutions tailored for business growth. Their B2B platforms and enterprise software tools have become sought-after in international markets, especially across Asia, the CIS, and Latin America.
Even under sanctions and a wave of Western tech exits, Russian IT exports were projected to grow by 6.6% in 2024. A key reason is the adaptability of these products. Russian developers are increasingly fine-tuning their tools to meet the unique demands of foreign customers.
B2B-Center is a standout in this space, offering software for corporate procurement and sales. With offices in Moscow, Minsk, and Bryansk, and a spot on Forbes’ 'Top 20 Most Valuable Runet Companies,' it’s one of Russia’s digital export flagships. Since launching, the platform has hosted 1.7 million trades worth over 23.3 trillion rubles. Initially adopted by the energy sector, it now serves clients in manufacturing, defense, metallurgy, and agriculture.

Exporting Innovation Through B2B
Workspace, Russia’s only B2B digital services tendering platform, has onboarded 18,000 agencies and 70,000 digital professionals since its launch in 2016. With over 12,000 tenders held, it provides free tendering tools for businesses and valuable exposure for digital agencies. The platform also publishes regular market analyses on agency performance, selection criteria, and buyer expectations.
Another heavyweight is 1C Company. Its flagship software suite, 1C:Enterprise, is a staple in business operations—from startups to government agencies. The company also produces educational software used by institutions worldwide.
Then there’s YooKassa, a payment provider enabling international e-commerce on Russian platforms. AliExpress, Joom, Nintendo, and Blizzard are among the global brands using it to process transactions with Russian consumers.

Global Positioning Through Customization
Allbiz, a global business directory, hosts over 41.9 million listings and connects regional buyers and sellers across the world.
Adaptability and user focus are central to global success. Russian developers understand that great UX isn’t enough—they tailor offerings for cultural, legal, and market-specific requirements. This includes customized UI, multilingual content, regulatory compliance, product testing, and client feedback loops. Collaborations now extend to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait, covering smart cities, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Russia’s B2B platforms are helping drive the global digital economy. Beyond building competitive offerings, they’re investing in localized marketing, around-the-clock support, and distribution networks to engage and retain international customers.
Russian digital products are also vital to securing critical infrastructure, powering intelligent transport systems, and supporting smart government and social services. In this new era of geopolitically informed tech, Russian IT is not just surviving—it’s expanding.
