Sberbank and XCar Integrate Sber ID and Sber Spasibo Into Taxi Aggregator Platform
Russia’s largest bank and the taxi aggregator XCar have completed the technological integration of Sber ID and the Sber Spasibo loyalty program into XCar’s digital ecosystem, promising more convenient logins and tangible savings for everyday riders.

Digital Products Move Beyond Banking
PJSC Sberbank and JSC X Car Group have finalized the integration of Sber ID and the Sber Spasibo loyalty program into the digital ecosystem of the XCar taxi aggregator. The move marks a new phase in bilateral strategic cooperation between the companies. For passengers, the update means that rides can now be both more seamless and more cost-effective – users will not only be able to redeem accumulated bonus points, but also earn new ones with every order.
Available to Every Rider
Users of the XCar platform, which operates as a self-organized local driver community aggregator, can now log into the taxi application using Sber ID. Importantly, Sber ID does not grant access to Sberbank Online, account balances, cards, deposits, or other financial data. Customers can redeem their Sber Spasibo bonus points to partially pay for rides, accrue new bonuses with each booking, and later use those points with participating partners in the loyalty program. According to representatives of both companies, the solution has strong demand potential, given that millions of people across Russia use taxi services daily.

The stated objective of the partnership is to deliver high-quality service both on the road and within the smartphone experience. Looking ahead, the partners plan to explore joint use of artificial intelligence technologies to analyze anonymized data. Such analysis could help optimize logistics, better understand demand patterns, and identify user preferences. In turn, this would enable the companies to refine services and tailor offerings to individual mobility habits.
User Experience as a Strategic Lever
The integration of Sber ID into the taxi platform reflects Sberbank’s broader strategy of expanding its digital ecosystem beyond core banking products through partner integrations. Password-free authorization is expected to improve the user experience, while bonus accrual and redemption add a financial incentive layer to everyday transportation. For Sberbank, the collaboration reinforces its position in digital identity and loyalty services. For XCar, it delivers both technological infrastructure and marketing leverage.
Over time, the initiative may accelerate Russia’s broader shift toward platformization of services, where banking technologies extend beyond the financial sector into daily life applications. The expanded use of Sber ID in mobility services could shape the next stage of digital transformation in transportation. For consumers, the advantages are practical and immediate – simplified password-free access and the ability to reduce ride costs by applying accumulated bonuses toward payments.

Experts anticipate that in the coming years Sber ID integrations may expand into other mobility and urban infrastructure services. New joint products within partner ecosystems could emerge, accompanied by increasingly personalized service development. At present, the solution is being deployed exclusively in the Russian market. However, Sberbank may eventually transfer this technology to international markets.
