Victory Museum to Collect Wartime Portraits for Multimedia Exhibit

Moscow residents can submit photos and personal stories of relatives who fought in World War II at any Moi dokumenty (My Documents public services centers), where they will become part of a large-scale public exhibition.

Staff at the centers will accept photos and documents, carefully scan them, and return the originals immediately. Digital copies will be included in the Litsa Pobedy (Faces of Victory project) multimedia exhibition at the Victory Museum. The initiative covers everyone who contributed to the war effort, including frontline soldiers, partisans, medics, and workers in the home front. Participants can find a portrait of their relative in the exhibit and share it with younger generations.

To take part, visitors only need to bring a passport and materials about their relative to any Moi dokumenty office. The project has international status, allowing participation from anywhere in the world, with wartime records also accepted online after registration on the project’s website.

Moscow’s public service centers have been participating in the initiative since 2021.
