The pilot program will begin with 12 fifth-grade classes. The curriculum has been licensed from the programming school Algoritmika. Instruction will follow a staged approach: younger students will learn the fundamentals of working with data and digital safety through interactive activities, middle school students will study the logic behind AI models, and high school students will develop their own engineering projects.

“The project's core idea is not simply to teach theory but to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can be used to solve real-world problems,” Shestakov said. “The program also focuses on career guidance, helping students make informed decisions about pursuing future careers in information technology and engineering.”

By the time they graduate, students completing the AI track are expected to have a competitive advantage when applying to the country's technical universities.
