Fabrice Kaburugutu: We Look Forward to Russia-Burundi Cooperation in Digital Technology

The Second Global Digital Forum in Moscow provided a platform for building international connections and developing joint information technology projects.

Participants from different countries can speak directly with representatives of IT companies, exchange experience and discuss initiatives of mutual interest.

After signing a cooperation agreement, Fabrice Kaburugutu, a representative of the Association of Young Leaders United for Sustainable Development (AJLUDD) from Burundi, spoke to the IT Russia media platform about how the agreement would help foster cooperation in internet technology and artificial intelligence.

– This agreement is extremely important to us. In Burundi, AJLUDD works closely with UNESCO on information and data exchange. The internet and artificial intelligence are very important to young people. We are exploring how these technologies can be used for scientific research, so international cooperation that brings in young professionals is especially important to us.

The future initiatives will primarily focus on the internet and web-based projects. When the Russian media platform IT Russia invited me to the forum, I was also thinking about the Russia-Africa Forum, which was expected to bring together major companies. Here, I had the opportunity to meet their representatives. I hope our cooperation will help Russia and Burundi exchange experience and data, develop the digital sector and strengthen relations between our countries.

We plan to finalize preparations for activities under the agreement by the end of this year and begin implementing them in the new year. I hope that through our joint efforts, we will achieve tangible results as early as the beginning of next year.
