Pavle Lalovic: Digital Sovereignty Plays a Key Role in Protecting National Interests
The Second Global Digital Forum in Moscow brought together representatives of different countries, international organizations and IT companies. The event gives participants an opportunity to discuss technological development, establish business contacts and forge partnerships.
For international companies, the forum provides a platform to present their approaches to digital sovereignty and find partners for joint projects. Pavle Lalovic, Managing Director of international consulting firm Agile Dynamics in the United Arab Emirates, spoke to IT Russia, a media platform, about the importance of technological independence for national economies and the signing of a cooperation agreement at the forum, which opens up further opportunities for professional networking and joint work.
– We are an international consulting firm operating in the United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Hong Kong. Digital sovereignty has long been a central focus of our work. Our publications on the subject date back to 2022. Technology and technological sovereignty are essential foundations for innovation and economic independence. The world is becoming multipolar, while polarization is also intensifying. That makes digital sovereignty important for protecting national interests.
As members of the consulting and academic communities, we follow developments in this area and contribute to efforts to achieve technological sovereignty.
As for the practical steps involved in implementing the agreement, our first priority is to map out the areas of work and define an action plan. To do that, we will work with our client portfolio, which includes private companies in Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. Our task is to assess the current situation and identify opportunities to advance technological sovereignty initiatives.
I am optimistic and believe we will be able to present tangible results by the first or second quarter of 2027. The Global Digital Forum gave us an opportunity to meet many potential clients and representatives from different countries. That will be useful for our work going forward.
