Russian Video Surveillance System for Ships and Ports Can See in the Dark and Automatically Alert Security Staff
Morsvyazavtomatika Research and Production Company has developed the SOT Digital II-2003/1 security system for ships, ports and terminals.

The system records video and audio, detects movement and sends alarms to security posts.
It enables remote monitoring of perimeters, berths, deck and engine-room spaces, and cargo-handling areas. The system can trigger an audible alarm when it detects movement, receives a signal from an external sensor or detects a perimeter breach.
Response scenarios can be configured for each site. The system also alerts operators to failures involving the video server or cameras, as well as loss of main power. It supports pan-tilt cameras, thermal imaging cameras and explosion-proof models. The equipment is designed to withstand vibration, vessel motion and high humidity. The system has been approved by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
