Families with Multiple Children to Automatically Verify Eligibility for Taxi Benefits
Russia’s Transport Ministry is launching an experiment that would allow taxi services to automatically verify whether a passenger is a member of a large family.
The Situational Information Center of Russia’s Transport Ministry is launching a social experiment. The initiative would allow digital taxi services to automatically verify a passenger’s status if they are a member of a large family. To do so, government systems would be linked to transportation booking services. Eligible passengers could receive discounts, bonuses or other forms of support.
The Transport Ministry emphasized that carriers will decide for themselves whether to participate in the experiment. Each company will determine what forms of support it is willing to offer.
If the new experiment proves successful, the ministry plans to expand it to an increasing number of regions across the country.
