Aerospace company Bureau 1440, which is developing the Rassvet low-Earth orbit satellite constellation, has announced the start of real-world equipment testing. The first trials will be conducted on Russian Railways' infrastructure. A satellite terminal has already been installed on one of the carrier's trains. The initial launches are set to begin shortly, and will take place not only in the Far East but also in Krasnoyarsk, as well as in the south and north of the country.

"In August, in line with our plans, we conducted internal tests and have already started initial tests with our customers — even slightly ahead of schedule. Tests are being carried out in various regions of our country — Krasnoyarsk, the south, the north. We are covering fairly large territories with these tests to check how our service will perform," said Alexey Shelobkov, Director General of IKS Holding.

All equipment required for the trials has already been manufactured. One of the next phases is mass production, with the Far East being considered as a potential manufacturing site.
