MTS Unveils Mobile Communications System for Rapid Network Deployment
The platform is designed for a wide range of emergency and industrial applications.

At the DIIR-2026 conference, Russian telecom operator MTS introduced an aeromobile communications system designed for rapid network deployment in remote and hard-to-access areas. The setup includes an unmanned aerial vehicle, a mobile base station, and a lightweight service van.
The system can be used to support large public events, agricultural operations, and emergency-response missions. It is also designed for deploying dedicated communications networks at industrial facilities.
According to MTS, the platform can be deployed anywhere accessible by vehicle. Setup takes no more than 30 minutes and can be completed by a team of just two specialists. The aeromobile system provides radio coverage within a radius of 10 to 15 kilometers for up to three days. It connects to the operator’s core network through either satellite communications or fiber-optic lines.
