Yakovlevsky Mining Complex Upgrades Mine Dispatch System
The intelligent software helps determine optimal routes for mining vehicles.
Severstal's Yakovlevsky mining and processing complex has deployed an upgraded intelligent mine dispatch system. It continuously monitors capacity at ore collection points and determines optimal routes for vehicles.
The system works by detecting when an ore collection point is full and immediately recommending that a loaded vehicle be sent to another location. This reduces unnecessary vehicle movements and improves operational efficiency.
The software also incorporates feedback from equipment operators. Employees can rate a suggested route or report an obstacle along the way, and the algorithms are adjusted based on that information.
“Today, the system helps manage around 50 ore collection points and more than 60 vehicles in real time,” said Andrey Ignatyev, CEO of the Yakovlevsky mining and processing complex. “Coordinating these operations previously required much more manual work and many more phone calls. Now the system makes some of those decisions automatically.”
