Rosseti Rolls Out IT System to Unify Its Information Environment
The company’s research and engineering center developed the system.
Rosseti has begun pilot operation of the Garmonizatsiya (Harmonization) software and hardware system at its Main Power Grids of Central Russia branch. Company representatives said the rollout marks an important stage in a project designed to create a unified information environment for the power grid based on Common Information Model standards. The system is intended to streamline communication between equipment and IT systems from different vendors and remove barriers between substation and dispatch-control systems.
The new system is expected to reduce the time needed to process data and ease staff workloads.
“At this stage, the software and hardware system is operating at one of the Moscow power system’s 500-kilovolt substations. The pilot project will allow us to assess data conversion efficiency, the performance of analytical modules and the platform’s integration capabilities under real-world conditions, as well as test scenarios for exchanging data on emergency events as part of our work with the System Operator,” Rosseti representatives said.
