Russian Developers Add Two-Factor Authentication to Secure Remote Access
Russian software companies Indeed and Astra Group have confirmed that the Indeed MFA multi-factor authentication service is compatible with the Termidesk virtual desktop infrastructure platform, adding an extra layer of protection for remote access to virtual workspaces.
As remote work becomes a standard part of business operations, user accounts have become a primary gateway to corporate systems, and a compromised password can give attackers access to an employee's virtual desktop. Integrating Indeed MFA with Termidesk VDI adds a second authentication step, helping prevent unauthorized access even if a password has been stolen.
Termidesk is a virtual desktop infrastructure platform that supports both VDI and terminal-based remote access. Indeed MFA manages user authentication by requiring a second verification step after password entry. Users can confirm their identity with a code sent by email, Telegram, SMS, or a push notification through a mobile app.
