Chelyabinsk Plans Chatbot for Passenger Complaints About Temperatures Inside Public Transit Vehicles

Chelyabinsk Mayor Alexey Loshkin has instructed city officials to develop a chatbot that passengers can use to report excessively high or low temperatures inside buses, trolleybuses, and trams.

The service will operate year-round, handling complaints about malfunctioning air conditioning systems during the summer and inadequate heating during the winter.

The directive was issued during a meeting at City Hall. According to the mayor, the new tool will make it easier for inspectors to monitor temperature conditions on public transportation because reports will come directly from passengers.

"If the temperature is uncomfortable, passengers will certainly let us know," Alexey Loshkin said.

Access to the complaints will be available not only to city administration staff but also to public transportation operators. That will allow them to respond quickly by removing vehicles from service and sending them for repairs if their air conditioning or heating systems fail.
