Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched a new digital service that consolidates information on foreign nationals into a single profile, bringing together records ranging from identity documents to immigration-related violations, ministry spokesperson Irina Volk said.

Since June 30, Russia has operated the Tsifrovoy profil inostrannogo grazhdanina (Digital Profile of a Foreign Citizen) platform, which brings together information on migrants, including identity documents, employment records, data on administrative offenses, and entry restrictions. The platform is managed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"The launch of this platform marks an important step in the digitalization of migration processes. It creates a complete, reliable, and up-to-date information base for assessing the country's migration situation and improving the effectiveness of government administration in the migration sector," Volk said.

According to Volk, the Russian government approved a resolution on June 12 defining the categories of information included in the platform and the rules governing access to it. The measure implements a presidential decree issued on July 9, 2025.
