Government Employees Get Second Digital Workspace Option Based on Yandex
The Sreda communication platform for government employees is now available not only through VK WorkSpace, but also through Yandex 360. Government agencies can connect to the service free of charge.

Sreda (workplace communications platform) combines the core tools government employees need for day-to-day work, including unlimited email storage, a messenger with chats and channels, a calendar, video meetings through Telemost for up to 300 participants with transcription support, 10 GB of cloud storage per employee, and collaborative document editing. Agencies can choose between two deployment models: a public cloud version based on Yandex 360 or an isolated version based on VK WorkSpace operating in a closed environment separated from public cloud services.
The Yandex 360-based version has already been adopted by Mintsifry (Russia’s Digital Development Ministry) and several affiliated organizations, as well as 11 Russian regions: Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kirov, Murmansk, Vologda, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, and Belgorod regions, Altai Krai, and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Participation agreements have also been signed with the Transport Ministry, the Health Ministry and more than 140 affiliated institutions, the Education Ministry and more than 70 affiliated organizations, as well as the Analytical Center under the Russian government. More than 40 additional Russian regions are still negotiating and signing agreements with Mintsifry.
The project is being rolled out under a Russian government decree. Eligible users include federal and regional government agencies, public institutions, extra-budgetary state funds, and municipal authorities.
