Iskra Tekhnologii has introduced a fully domestically developed controller for high-voltage substations to the Russian market. The controller collects operational data and controls substation equipment. One of its key features is support for all major protocols used in the power industry, including legacy synchronous protocols, along with a flexible modular architecture.

"We have completed development of the baseline version of a fully independent domestic solution for the power industry. The application software for IskraTekhno PTK and IskraTekhno SCADA is included in the Russian Ministry of Digital Development's software registry. Now the hardware component, IskraTekhno MFK, has also been added to the Unified Register of Russian Radio-Electronic Products. This means the product has the full set of required regulatory documentation and can be used at electric power facilities operating at voltage levels from 6 kV to 750 kV," said Aleksandr Bokhun, Director of Power Automation at Iskra Tekhnologii JSC.

The company said development of the controller began in 2022 specifically to replace imported alternatives.
