Nizhny Novgorod Forestry Districts Resolve Boundary Disputes With Digital Mapping
All 35 forestry districts in the Nizhny Novgorod region have been assigned precise digital boundaries within a federal system. The data, sourced from the EGRN (Unified State Register of Real Estate), helps eliminate disputes and accelerates the delivery of public services.
According to the regional forestry ministry, the availability of accurate boundaries within the FGIS LK (Federal State Information System of the Forest Complex) significantly simplifies the work of specialists, improving the accuracy of forest land records and reducing the risk of territorial disputes.
Previously, unclear boundaries led to inconsistencies in planning forestry activities. The FGIS LK now provides a complete and up-to-date spatial overview of the region’s forest resources. This is the result of implementing modern technologies under the Gosudarstvo dlya lyudey (State for People federal project).
