Satellite Internet Performance in Russia Set to Improve Significantly
Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov says upcoming satellite deployments and infrastructure upgrades will boost connectivity, navigation, and communications across the country.

Satellite communications, internet access, and navigation services in Russia are expected to improve significantly in the coming years, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said.
He said the progress will be supported by upgrades to spaceports and by efforts to advance Russia’s crewed space program.
Russia has begun actively deploying the Rassvet (Dawn low-Earth orbit satellite constellation), designed to provide stable connectivity not only in remote regions but also for moving transport, including trains and aircraft. A first group of 16 satellites has already been launched, with plans to expand the constellation to 900 in the near future.
The full deployment phase was preceded by extensive testing, which showed that the satellites - equipped with modern digital systems and advanced architecture - can deliver high data transmission speeds.
