Russians File Up to 2 Million Applications a Day on the Gosuslugi Portal
Digital government services are increasingly covering a wide range of everyday needs, from healthcare to education and official paperwork.
In Russia, the number of users of the Gosuslugi e-government portal has surpassed 120 million, according to the Ministry of Digital Development. The online service significantly simplifies the handling of everyday tasks, from booking a doctor’s appointment to obtaining official documents. Russians now submit up to 2 million requests through the portal every day.
Many services are delivered almost instantly, with some responses and documents available within a minute. More complex requests are processed in no more than 72 hours. Entrepreneurs and legal entities are among the most active users: businesses have registered around 4 million personal accounts on the platform.
“Life situations” speed up problem-solving
More than 1.5 million couples have applied to register a marriage through the service, over 1 million birth registrations have been completed, and 6 million applications have been submitted for school enrollment.
Students used Gosuslugi to apply to universities 13 million times in 2025 alone. Appointments with doctors booked through the platform exceeded 230 million over the year. Using the Goskey digital signature service, Russians signed more than 40 million documents.
Each year, the range of services available through the unified federal platform continues to expand. This year, the total exceeded 1,600 services. More than 30 bundled offerings organized around so-called “life situations” are designed to make access to public services faster and more convenient.
