Russia’s OmFest 2025 Will Fuse AI, Quantum Tech, and Digital Art

The second annual OmFest in Omsk promises a unique convergence of science, creativity, and emerging technology—bridging hackathons, media art, and open discussions on cybersecurity.

From September 15 to 21, the Russian city of Omsk will host the second International Festival of Digital Technologies, known as OmFest 2025. The lineup includes dozens of events ranging from hackathons and science lectures to immersive digital art shows and quantum tech demonstrations.

Following the success of its 2024 debut, which drew thousands of attendees, OmFest has shifted to a September schedule this year to better engage students and educators after the start of the academic calendar.

The 2025 festival will spotlight three key themes: quantum technology, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. These topics will shape panels, public classes, and self-development tracks featuring expert speakers and hands-on experiences.

OmFest also brings technology into the city’s cultural life. Local restaurants will offer special 'digital menus,' while cinemas will screen films focused on the tech-driven future. The week will wrap up with a large-scale electronic music concert.

Art is a cornerstone of the event. Visitors can explore a media art competition that transforms city streets with installations, alongside a curated exhibition of traditional artists whose works reinterpret classic forms through digital lenses.
