Krasnogorsk Water Utility Introduces Smart Infrastructure Monitoring
Staff can monitor equipment in real time and operate it remotely.

Krasnogorsk’s water utility has introduced a smart monitoring system for its infrastructure, covering around 100 water supply and wastewater facilities. The core digital tool is a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system that collects, processes, and archives data from all key points across the network. Engineers and operators can now monitor equipment in real time and control it remotely. All data is routed to the dispatcher’s control center, where each facility has its own dedicated screen. The displays show the operating status of deep-well pumps, water levels in storage tanks, and the performance of pumps at second-lift pumping stations. The system also automatically alternates pump operation to distribute workloads more evenly.
The utility’s next stage of digitalization is expected to involve tools that can do more than monitor equipment, helping predict potential failures before they occur. The company also plans to integrate the system with the regional Kontur ZhKKh platform.
