Tula's Arsenal Football Club Becomes a Virtual Mobile Operator
The project is being implemented jointly with Beeline.
Beeline and Tula's Arsenal football club have announced the launch of a joint project to provide mobile communications based on a Smart MVNO solution. Fans can now buy SIM cards featuring the club's branding.
Arsenal's management expects to use the mobile service as another tool for engaging with supporters. In the future, telecom services may be integrated with other activities. For example, subscribers may gain access to special offers on tickets, football school training, and other club products and services. Further development will depend on how quickly the subscriber base grows.
"It is important to us that a fan's interaction with Arsenal is not limited to the match and the stadium. The club has a large community of people who want to remain part of its life every day. Having our own branded mobile service gives us another opportunity to be close to them and, in the future, to bring club privileges and special offers together around it," said Ekaterina Zeleneva, head of the advertising and commercial department at Arsenal football club.
