The Moscow-2 and Xelent data centers, owned by state corporation Rosatom, have been added to the official registry of data centers maintained by Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media. According to company representatives, the move confirms the high reliability of the infrastructure, which meets the most stringent security requirements.

“We will continue developing a geographically distributed and disaster-resilient network of data centers to remain a reliable partner for both the public sector and businesses,” said Oleg Maksimenkov, CEO of Atomdata-Center, a Rosatom subsidiary.

The Moscow-2 facility is located in the southern administrative district of the capital and was the first in Russia to achieve the highest Tier IV reliability certification, meaning it can continue operating even if key engineering systems fail. The Xelent data center is the largest in northwest Russia, with a capacity of 954 racks and a connected power load of 10 MW.
