Nizhny Novgorod Region Resident Card Now Doubles as an Intercom Key
The physical resident card is now compatible with intercom systems installed by telecom provider Dom.ru.
A new feature has been added to the Karta zhitelya Nizhegorodskoy oblasti (Nizhny Novgorod Region Resident Card). Cardholders can now use the physical card as an electronic key for residential intercom systems. The feature was introduced through a partnership between the resident card program and telecom provider Dom.ru, and it is compatible with all intercom systems installed by the company.
The system automatically links the card to the intercom at the cardholder's registered address using information from the Gosuslugi (State Services) portal. If a resident changes address, the system updates the information automatically without requiring any action from the user. Intercom access can be disabled through the personal account section of the Karta zhitelya Nizhegorodskoy oblasti website.
Last year, the Karta zhitelya Nizhegorodskoy oblasti was integrated with several government services. For example, the project introduced the Moi Sport (My Sport) service, allowing residents to use the card as an access pass to participating sports facilities.
