Rutube to Build Its First Dedicated Data Center
The facility is to be built in Russia's Leningrad Region.

Russian video platform Rutube plans to build its first dedicated data center. The facility is expected to be constructed in the Leningrad Region. Sergei Kosinsky, deputy CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding and head of its digital assets division, announced the plans during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to Kosinsky, the new data center will address several strategic objectives. In particular, it will significantly expand computing capacity for video storage and processing, support new artificial intelligence initiatives, and provide infrastructure for machine learning applications.
The facility's initial power capacity is expected to be at least 3 megawatts. During the first phase, it will house more than 160 racks and over 2,000 servers. Company representatives emphasized that only domestically produced replacement equipment will be used.
Construction of the data center is expected to be completed by 2028.
