The parties reviewed joint initiatives in 5G and 6G technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and telecommunications. The discussions resulted in agreements to launch dual-degree programs, expand opportunities for Uzbek students pursuing master's and doctoral studies, and strengthen academic exchanges between the Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and Cyber University. The partners also agreed to establish a joint research center focused on next-generation communications networks and radio-frequency spectrum management.

During the visit, Shermatov met with Uzbek students studying at the university and toured its laboratories specializing in cybersecurity, radio communications, and media technologies. The partnership is expected to help train internationally competitive IT professionals and support joint research projects between the two countries.
