Multi-Agent Design Bureau Launched at Moscow Polytechnic
It works across several areas at once.
A Multi-Agent Design Bureau has begun operating at the Advanced Engineering School of Technological Leadership FDR at Moscow Polytechnic University. Work there is carried out in four areas at once: hybrid starters, components for drones, electric bikes, and mobile switching and power modules.
Each algorithm is assigned a distinct, clearly defined role. In essence, the setup mirrors how a classical design bureau functions. A designer agent builds models and drawings, a calculation agent verifies loads, and a process agent checks the product against the university's machine tool fleet. The use of advanced technology has accelerated some design stages by a factor of 60.
According to Pablo Iturralde, Director of the FDR school, gathering data for each agent took several years. The entire body of information is now being used to train an AI engineer. At the same time, he stresses that the team is not tasked with replacing human engineers. The goal is to create a tool that will assist people in their work.
