Yandex Teaches Alice to Handle Complex Workplace Tasks

Previously, employees could ask the assistant a single question. Now they can assign it a multi-step task in one go: the employee simply describes what needs to be done, and Alice breaks the assignment down into stages. After a meeting, for example, it can listen to the recording, extract the agreements reached and assign tasks to the employees responsible. For accounting teams, the assistant can help process invoices, while customer support teams can use it to identify recurring complaints.

Alice connects to a company’s services, including email, cloud storage, calendar and other Yandex 360 tools by default. Plugins can also add 1C, Bitrix24 and amoCRM. Alice cannot access other employees’ data without permission from the employee or administrator.

Another feature allows companies to upload internal documents, including policies, templates and price lists. Alice can then tailor its answers to the rules and practices adopted by the organization.

The new tool is available to 185,000 companies using Yandex 360, while other businesses can access it free of charge for three months.
