Russian Developer Uses AI to Supercharge IT Operations

By deploying generative AI within a secured in-house infrastructure, Russian IT firm Basis has dramatically accelerated incident response and automation workflows.
Basis, a Russian developer of IT infrastructure management solutions, has successfully integrated neural network technologies into its core business processes. According to the company, using generative AI has reduced incident and technical request handling times by 20 to 50 percent—and boosted task execution speed up to sixfold in some operations.
A key innovation lies in the creation of a secure perimeter for AI use. All processes, including model training and response generation, take place within an isolated company-controlled infrastructure. This eliminates risks associated with third-party services and ensures full data sovereignty.
The AI deployment has yielded measurable results, including a 70 percent drop in incident response time. The system now automates the creation of response teams, communication channels, and preliminary diagnostics. Upcoming features include incident timeline management and automated reporting.
Other benefits include instant search across technical documentation and dramatically accelerated script development. According to Basis, generating test code now takes just 10 to 15 minutes instead of hours, with developer productivity rising three to four times.
