Yandex Delivery Robots Begin Operating in Two Moscow Hospitals
The robots transport medications, supplies, and biological samples for testing.

Delivery robots developed by Yandex have started operating in two Moscow hospitals — Pervaya Gradskaya on Yakimanka and City Clinical Hospital No. 15 in Veshnyaki. The project is being implemented in partnership with Yandex and the Moscow Department of Health.
The robots are used to transport medications, consumables, and biological samples for laboratory analysis. They move between hospital buildings, reducing staff workload and freeing up time for core medical duties.
Importantly, the robots do not require dedicated infrastructure. They operate on existing pathways and access roads. For transporting materials that require specific storage conditions, such as biological samples, thermal containers are used. These are placed in the robot’s cargo compartment, which is regularly disinfected.
In November last year, Yandex introduced a new model of delivery robots designed for mass production. The company plans to manufacture up to 20,000 units by the end of 2027.
