Yandex Trains Alice AI to Help School Students With Homework
Yandex has added a homework analysis feature to Alice AI, allowing the neural network to explain topics, show formulas, and suggest ways to solve problems.
“Using Alice AI, students can work through a problem or topic, review rules, and check their knowledge. The neural network displays formulas and theorems and, when needed, offers different ways to approach the same exercise or task,” the company said in a press release.
The new feature is available in both the browser and mobile app. In the browser, it runs in split-screen mode: the “Ask Alice AI” button lets users select an assignment for analysis or enter a question manually. In the app, the button appears directly on educational websites - the system captures a screenshot of the page and generates a query automatically. Beyond explanations, the neural network can create additional exercises to reinforce learning. The feature is designed for both students and parents.
According to Anketolog Institute, 68% of school students already use Alice AI. Other popular AI tools among students include ChatGPT (69%) and DeepSeek (52%). Most users turn to AI to understand complex topics or get step-by-step solutions to exercises.
