Rosatom Uses Artificial Intelligence to Synthesize New Materials
Researchers have already produced experimental samples using the new AI-assisted approach.

Rosatom continues to expand the use of artificial intelligence in industrial research and manufacturing. According to materials published by Atomenergoprom, a subsidiary of the state nuclear corporation, AI was used last year to support the synthesis of entirely new materials, resulting in the production of experimental samples.
According to project staff, such experiments could lay the groundwork for breakthroughs across multiple industries. The new approach is expected to enable testing of up to 10 materials per day. Artificial intelligence is responsible for selecting material structures, managing the synthesis process, and adjusting formulations based on the characteristics of the samples produced.
