Security Vision Launches In-House EDR to Protect Endpoints

Security Vision has introduced an endpoint detection and response (EDR) solution designed to protect Windows and Linux workstations and servers.

The system analyzes events directly on the endpoint, with threat detection and protection mechanisms operating autonomously. The product includes more than 800 prebuilt correlation rules, a no-code editor for creating new rules, a built-in asset management module, and both manual and automated incident response capabilities.

The EDR solution from Security Vision strengthens Russia’s technological sovereignty in cybersecurity. EDR has become a baseline defense layer against the growing volume of attacks targeting companies. The vendor is already gaining traction: its technologies are used by major banks and corporations, and the platform holds certification from FSTEK.

For citizens, the development of such systems translates into stronger protection of personal data and more reliable digital services. At the global level, the product offers an alternative to Western platforms for countries prioritizing sovereign control over cybersecurity. This expands the domestic cybersecurity technology stack and reduces dependence on foreign software.

Alternative to Western Platforms

Security Vision is building a unified platform that combines EDR, SIEM, and SOAR capabilities. This approach enables integration into a single architecture for a corporate security operations center (SOC). The solution is designed for deep integration and full replacement of foreign security systems.

The product is in demand among large enterprises and government organizations due to its focus on endpoint-level threat analysis. That architecture ensures rapid response and autonomous protection, even when connectivity to a central server is unstable.

The solution also has export potential in CIS countries, as well as in Asia and Africa, where sovereign control over data is a priority. International certifications and a transparent technology stack position the product as a credible alternative to Western platforms.

Trend Toward Autonomous Protection

Between 2022 and 2024, Kaspersky Lab updated its EDR Expert solution and introduced the Kaspersky Next product line, expanding access to advanced incident investigation tools for the global market.

In 2023–2024, Positive Technologies launched MaxPatrol EDR for large-scale networks. Like the Security Vision product, it focuses on endpoint-level threat analysis. This architecture reflects an industry-wide shift toward autonomous protection and faster response times.

The global cybersecurity market is moving toward fully automated protection. Microsoft Defender can block complex attacks at early stages to limit damage and give security teams time to respond. This reinforces the broader trend toward convergence between EDR and comprehensive XDR platforms, a path followed by both international vendors and leading Russian developers.

Toward Greater Functional Complexity

The release of Security Vision’s EDR highlights the maturity of the domestic cybersecurity market. The sector is entering a phase of increasing functional complexity. Vendors are now building integrated platforms with deep automation and autonomous response, while customers gain access to viable alternatives to global leaders.

Competition among Russian cybersecurity vendors is expected to intensify. Key success factors will include the quality of analytics, response speed, and support for Linux environments. The competitive landscape will shift from formal compliance to leadership within enterprise IT architectures. Export opportunities will likely develop selectively in partner countries.

In cybersecurity, it is essential to always have a second opinion and a fallback plan. Risk diversification must be aligned with the value that specific assets represent to the business. In that case, even if one protection system fails for any reason, operations can continue without interruption
