Russia’s legal information system ConsultantPlus has introduced a tool that condenses court rulings into concise, easy-to-understand summaries.
The AI-powered feature reduces lengthy legal texts to their essential points, allowing users to grasp the substance of a decision without reading multi-page documents. It highlights key facts, the positions of the parties, and the final outcome of the case.
The service simplifies legal language and cuts the time needed for analysis. This is particularly useful for lawyers who work with large volumes of documents, as well as for non-specialists unfamiliar with legal terminology.
Structured Presentation
The summary is presented as a logically structured narrative. It outlines the subject of the dispute, the circumstances of the case, arguments from both sides, decisions of lower courts, and the final ruling. This format makes it easier to follow the reasoning behind the judgment.
The “Summary” button is located on the right-hand panel of the interface and is available at both the beginning and the end of a court document.
Clicking the button opens a window with the key details of the case. From there, users can navigate directly to relevant sections of the full ruling to explore further details.
The tool expands the system’s capabilities and makes working with case law faster and more efficient.
