Russian developers have created and patented an innovative software program for controlling industrial robots. In practice, the software functions as a “brain,” or control system, for production equipment, responsible for automating gripping, movement, and precise positioning of various objects. The developers are a research team from the Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.

For Industrial Development

According to the researchers, the software suite features an integrated command-processing system, supports multiple operating modes, and includes built-in mechanical protection as well as configuration and diagnostic tools.

The solution can be deployed across a wide range of industries where automated conveyor-based assembly is required, including operations involving ampoules or other fragile items, as well as warehousing and cargo transportation.

The industrial “brain” is built around a multi-level input data processing architecture, real-time algorithms, and a coordination layer. It also supports integration with industrial protocols and incorporates failover mechanisms.
