Russia may introduce an independent AI-based financial advisor to help citizens understand and compare financial products, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said at the TOLK forum. She noted that banks increasingly offer complex products with promised high returns, making it difficult for non-specialists to assess them.

AI Already in Use

Artificial intelligence could explain the benefits and trade-offs of financial products in simple terms and even recommend options tailored to user needs. However, Nabiullina stressed that such a tool must remain independent and not be affiliated with any specific bank.

According to media reports, Russians are already actively using AI tools for personal finance management. As reported by RBC, users most often rely on AI to optimize budgets, compare banking offers, analyze lender reviews and plan savings.
